Chin Na (or Qinna)

CHIN NA or Qinna

Chin na is the name for the general Chinese grappling arts which consist of controlling an oponent's body. Qin na's controlling, takedown, and pressure point techniques make it a varied and real-world self defense art for anyone and everyone, essentially leveling the playing field between two or more opponents.

These techniques are taught in the Shaolin classes and the Sparring, Taiji and Qi Gong classes. There is normally a specific set of Qinna applications relevant to each martial art or style. We teach the classic sets recognized by Shaolin temple, which are generally universal, normally within the context of another existing class. More specialized training in these techniques is available to qualified students, subject to Dasifu's approval.
